Our goal is to enable you to enhance your offerings by adding long-term storage without the costs associated with implementation, and maintenance of such a system. We have created that system and now you can tap into it for all your users!
The Datawitness API is designed for companies who want to develop customized tools to enhance their web-based applications by adding Datawitness functionality for their users so they can archive and access records within the Datawitness Engine.
The API allows you to access records uploaded to a user account, and includes methods to create,modify and access (via downloading) those records. The current API allows developers programmatic access to data for a single, authenticated user (that is, aggregate, anonymous data access is not supported).
You might want to only integrate Datawitness as a simple 3rd party archiving service for specific data generated within your application, or perhaps you want to offer a full-blown Records Management System with the Datawitness archiving functionality available for all your user contributed files.
