Datawitness Announces Partnership with Document Destruction Company Maximum Security Shredders → August 09, 2008

Richmond, British Columbia – August 9, 2008 – Destruction of paper records is a key part of the paper to digital record conversion process. Only when original paper records are destroyed does the full integrity of the converted records transfer to the digital and microfilm replacements.

Maximum Security Shredders of Okotoks, Alberta offers secure on-site and off-site shredding to businesses and organizations in Southern Alberta. "Our clients need Certificates of Destruction to protect themselves legally when sensitive records are destroyed," said Rachel Lavelle of Maximum Security Shredders. "Our highly secure services prevent any accidental release of confidential information. We are happy to partner with Datawitness and Resolve to offer effective paper to digital conversion. The process yields shredded paper we can put back into paper product production and reduces the demand for new pulp."

"Our partnership with Maximum Security Shredders enables us to offer a complete solution for paper to digital conversion in Southern Alberta," said Karim Allibhai, Director of Sales, Datawitness. "Organizations can take advantage of new standards to reduce paper storage costs and risk of document loss and damage by preserving long-term integrity of records in a microfilm format legally accepted as equal to the original paper. If that wasn't enough, companies who convert from paper are also being environmentally friendly. We're pleased to partner with Maximum to offer a long-term archiving process compliant with CGSB (Canadian General Standards Board), ANSI (American Natural Standards Institute), and other regulatory bodies. Together, we remove the millstone of paper record keeping that's been deadweight around the neck of businesses and organizations for years."
